Im not saying its 100% dead, but i see no movemant whatsoever and that suggests to me the dog is dead. How many people would actually throw a live puppy to its death? Not many.
It's a PUPPY. It goes all docile and curls up when handled by the scruff of the neck until it gets too big. It's more easily observed in cats, but that's how "baby" animals behave so mum can safely transport them.

Sure, try and pick my cat up by the scruff of the neck, and you'll tear your own wrist under the weight, and then he'll dismember the remains of your arm with his hind legs.

When Motari holds the dog up to the camera, it's legs are foetally retracted, when you view the dog at the anterior hyper-extension of Motari's arm, its abdomen has moved with momentum, and the legs have extended--it was ALIVE. Even a stuff toy would not exhibit that much movement.

As for the animals "flight" I don't know how people are examining it "frame-by-frame".
Savetube.com, rename the saved .FLV to .AVI, and open with your favorite editor. ;)
Thanks for the info. I'll try it out now.

EDIT:

Sorry if I'm dominating the space in this thread, but I must have been a Buddhist in a previous life. I never got the teenage thrill out of killing anything, and have always been protective of non-pest animals, which obviously excludes venomous spiders, mosquitos--but even then I don't see why it should suffer just because I want it out of my house. That video was a serious head-fuck from my perspective. (Imagine that happening to both heads at the same time!)

I've noticed that some of the links surrounding this incident ask "650,000 dead people, what's all the fuss over one dog?"

I think it's because this act is the epitome of what this war is about: pointless brutality and mindless violence.

There is absolutely no possible way that you can put a positive spin on this story, but I'm sure Faux News will try.

I have thought about that myself, and the only plauseable answer I can come up with is no one ( in general ) really cares about the human casualties...
But a cute and loveable puppy being needlessly and cold heartedly murdered tugs at everyones ( in general ) heartstrings.

WE can take this horrible incident and turn it into a "focal point" and raise awareness to the human attrocities happening in Iraq and Afghanistan.
That is basically the idea behind http://www.puppychucker.com
By doing so maybe that puppy can actually help to save lives in the future.

Trust me, the Marine Corps will take care of the slimes in that video, and threats to the family is NOT the way....

Anyone making threats at all is a fool. Anyone making threats to anyone who is not the actual perpetrator of this despicable act has no brain, no capacity for intelligent thought, at all. :(
